Graham Roberts makes Tottenham claim after Jeff Stelling slams Sky for Arsenal coverage v Brighton

On April 28, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal will lock horns in one of the most hotly-contested north London derby matches in many years.

That fixture is one of the great clashes in the English football calendar and a lot will be on the line when they trade blows.

For Ange Postecoglou’s side, they are trying to secure fourth spot and Champions League football.

Whilst Tottenham fans will be praying and hoping to spoil Arsenal’s chances of becoming Premier League champions.

Well, Mikel Arteta and his players boosted those chances by beating Brighton 3-0 on Saturday to move to the top of the Premier League table.

The game was broadcast on Sky Sports, with former Arsenal winger Theo Walcott and former Arsenal women’s player Karen Cairney in the studio as pundits.

In the commentary box, ex-Arsenal striker Alan Smith, who is a regular for the broadcaster, was calling the action.

This didn’t please Jeff Stelling on Twitter who slammed his former colleagues for their bias, as he stated ‘maybe next time Sky should be a bit more balanced’.

Those comments were followed up by Tottenham legend Graham Roberts who stated that ‘they have been doing this for years’ and ‘nothing will change’ for the north London derby, as he posted on Twitter

Sky’s coverage of Brighton and Arsenal

“Brighton v Arsenal has ex-Arsenal co-commentator and both pundits are ex-Arsenal,” wrote Stelling.

“Maybe next time Sky should be a bit more balanced. It is like using me on a Hartlepool game!!!”

Roberts added: “They’ve been doing this for years @JeffStelling nothing changes it will be the same when Spurs v Arsenal game.”

Will Tottenham spoil Arsenal’s Premier League title charge?

You feel the result of this game is going to be huge in deciding what happens in the Premier League title race.

Not only can Spurs boost their top-four hopes by winning the north London derby, but they can also halt their rivals’ title charge. Some will argue the latter will mean a lot more!

Arsenal won at Tottenham last season and you felt, at the time, that was massive in their title hopes.

But they still proceeded to collapse. You just feel, this time around, Arsenal are a different animal.
